Guest photos and videos wait in your private review queue. Approve the good ones and they go into the shared album. Blurry shots and anything you would rather keep private never reach your guests.
Nothing lands in your Google Drive, so its free space does not matter. The plan you choose sets the limit, and you can download all photos and videos when you want a copy.

For many couples, yes. Premium is US$49 once for every album you make, and WedUploader sets no upload limit of its own. If you already have Google Drive space and want every original file there, it is hard to beat.
The trade-off is control. Albums are private by default. Once you make the gallery public, it shows uploads in real time, and you choose afterwards which photos to keep private. Your Drive space sets how much you can collect.
