GuestCam vs GuestPix

GuestCam vs GuestPix: pricing and best fit.

Both start at $49 for one event, both skip the guest app, and both hand back a full-resolution ZIP. The real split is time and extras: GuestCam gives six months of uploads at $49 where GuestPix Classic gives three, GuestPix throws in digital invitations with RSVPs, and only GuestCam sells face search and an audio guestbook.

Product details checked 21 August 2026 against: GuestCam pricing, GuestPix pricing, GuestPix wedding packages, GuestPix Classic package, GuestPix party packages and GuestPix FAQs. Candid Cam's event model is described on its pricing page.

One conflict worth flagging: the GuestPix Classic product page heading says “6-Month Upload Window” while the sentence directly beneath it says “a generous 3-month upload window”. We use 3 months, which is what the wedding packages tile (“3 Mth. Upload & 12 Mth. Hosting”) and the GuestPix FAQs page (“Smaller entry-level packages have a 3 month window”) both state. Confirm the window at checkout before you buy on that figure.

The verdict

Which one you should buy.

Choose GuestCam if…

You want the most upload time for $49 — six months versus three — or you want an audio guestbook and face search, which GuestPix does not sell. Budget for the add-ons: MagicFind is $45 on either plan, and a dial-in guestbook number is a $30 extra on Standard — Premium already bundles one.

Choose GuestPix if…

You want a free 50-photo trial gallery before paying, digital invitations with RSVPs bundled in, or a downloaded ZIP already sorted into folders by guest name. Signature Bundle is the only option here that covers three separate events on one purchase and the only one that runs 24 months — just note its hosting counts from the purchase date, not the event, so buying a year early costs you a year.

Choose Candid Cam if…

You do not want a countdown on your wedding photos. Both competitors retire the gallery on a schedule: GuestCam stores for 12 months on Standard and 14 on Premium, and GuestPix hosts for 12 months on Classic and Signature or 24 on Signature Bundle. Candid Cam sets no such deadline — there is no automatic deletion after a fixed period, and every upload waits in a private review queue until you approve it.

Buying checklist

Five things to confirm before you pay.

Entry prices match at $49, so the money question is what each one attaches to that price — months, albums, and add-ons.

How long is the upload window at the price you will actually pay — 3, 6 or 12 months?

When does hosting end, and does that clock start at purchase or at the event date?

Are the extras you want (face search, audio guestbook, albums) included or paid add-ons?

Can you download everything at original resolution in one file?

Can the couple review uploads before anything appears in the shared album?

GuestCam vs GuestPix FAQ

Questions couples ask while comparing the two.

Is GuestCam or GuestPix better for wedding guest photos?

At the same $49 entry price, GuestCam gives more time: a 6-month upload window and 12 months of storage, against GuestPix Classic at 3 months of uploads and 12 months of hosting. GuestPix wins on trying before buying (a free 50-photo gallery), on bundled digital invitations with RSVPs, and on the Signature Bundle covering three separate events. GuestCam wins on extras — an audio guestbook is included and MagicFind face search is available as a $45 add-on, neither of which GuestPix sells.

How much do GuestCam and GuestPix cost?

GuestCam charges a one-time fee per event: $49 USD for Standard and $97 USD for Premium, with no per-guest fee. Optional add-ons are MagicFind face search at $45 and a dedicated audio-guestbook phone number at $30. GuestPix also charges once per event with no auto-renewal; its Classic wedding package is US$49, with Signature and Signature Bundle priced above it.

How long do guests have to upload photos with each one?

GuestCam Standard allows uploads for 6 months and stores the gallery for 12; GuestCam Premium allows 12 months of uploads and 14 months of storage, with both windows starting at the event date. GuestPix Classic allows 3 months of uploads with 12 months of hosting, and Signature allows 12 months of both — both measured from the event date. Signature Bundle extends to 24 months, but its hosting is measured from the date of purchase rather than the event date, which matters if you buy far in advance.

Can you download the photos at full resolution?

Yes, from both. GuestCam offers original-quality photos and videos with a one-click ZIP download on every plan. GuestPix delivers a single ZIP of all media at original full resolution, organised into folders by guest name, and lets the host decide whether guests can download too.

Where does Candid Cam fit in a GuestCam vs GuestPix comparison?

Candid Cam is the option to compare when the deadline bothers you. GuestCam and GuestPix both retire the gallery on a schedule: GuestCam stores for 12 months on Standard and 14 on Premium, while GuestPix hosts for 12 months on Classic and Signature or 24 months on Signature Bundle. Candid Cam sets no such deadline — there is no automatic deletion after a fixed period, and media is removed only when the host deletes it. Every upload also waits in a private review queue, so nothing is public until the couple approves it, and setup is free until you take the event live.
